Frosty the Snow Duck

Frosty the Snow Duck
by Oriental Trading

Frosty the Snow Duck
was a jolly happy bird
with an orange beak and a fluffy scarf
and two eyes made out of rubber.

Frosty the Snow Duck
has a duck tail everyday!
We don’t see feathers
but the duckies know
how he came to flight one day.

That must be a magic hat
with holly for a crown,
for when they placed it on his head
he began to quack around!

Frosty the Snow Duck
was a rubber duck you see
and the duckies say
he could swim and play
way better than you and me.

Frosty the Snow Duck
knew the sun was hot that day
so he said let’s run
and we’ll have some fun
now before I fly away.

Frosty the Snow Duck
had to hurry on his way,
but he waved goodbye
quacking “don’t you cry
I’ll be back again some day!”

Quackety quack quack
Quackety quack quack
Look at Snow Duck go!

Quackety quack quack
Quackety quack quack
Over the pond of snow!

Did you know that Memorial Day was originally known as Decoration Day? This United States holiday started after the Civil War when early observers marked the last Monday of May by decorating cemeteries. As you know, rubber duckies make excellent decorations for any occasion. Many Americans now observe Memorial Day by visiting memorials, holding family gatherings, and participating in parades. Unofficially, it marks the beginning of the summer season. Even more unofficially, it marks the start of rubber ducky season! Time to head to the pool and get swimming!
